Elemental Bug: Final Thought Staff Not Nature Damage

Through Origin, I recently reinstalled Dragon Age 2 on a new computer. I have all the DLC, and the game is running on 1.04. However, I've found a fix in 1.03 is not found. A staff called the Final thought is using Physical Damage, not Nature Damage. Does anyone know how to fix this within Origin? Do we have go through support to do some weird reinstalling of the updates?

I discovered the problem! I installed a mod that changed the overwrote the properties of the item. Once installed, it changed back. No bug!
