Dragon Age 2 persistent gore not persistent.

Greetings.

I've bought Dragon Age 2 years after first playing it on ps3. I never finished it back then and was determined to do so now. Unfortunately a minor issue that was present back then has reared its ugly head again. I have enabled persistent gore but the gore disappears over time as if the setting was turned off, an issue I had had with my ps3 edition a long time ago as well. Is there any fix for this? I find almost no one talking about it.

@P0kemastuh;  The "Persistent Gore" setting only means the bodies don't disappear immediately.  They still disappear after a little while.

The option makes no mention of bodies. It specifically states "Determines whether battle covers a character in blood and gore that remains in place until the next change of armor or clothing. Blood effects during combat remain enabled either way."
