Dragon Age 2 has stopped working on windows 10 [ Edited ]

I'm trying to play Dragon Age 2 mostly because I got the DLC bundle recently. but I keep getting the Dragon Age 2 has stopped working  message.

my computer is a repurposed Dell that used to be in a office complex 

my graphics card is a nvidia geforce gtx 1050

the problem is do not think the solution works any more because i used the solution 2 years ago to fix it once already when i first got the game.
