Proxy Error on Activation of Dragon Age 2

On first Run of Dragon Age 2, it request that the user email and password. After verifying that, it ask to activate the software with the activation key.  When pressing that button, the request times out and displays an Proxy Error modal with the message "The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request" Is there a fix for this?
