DA2 cloud sync won't work

Hi there, maybe this is a stupid question so thanks to anyone in advance. 

My friend who lives in a different city as me is playing DA2 for the very first time on my Origin account (I finished it a few years back so I let him use mine) and is stuck on one of the Deep Roads quests. Basically I'm trying to access a cloud save from his computer so that I can try my hand at playing one of the quests to help him through. However when I try and play the game on my computer, even though cloud sync is turned on and we'd both been logged in, the only game that I can load is my own save from years ago, and I can't access his even though he's been playing with my email. 

 

Is there any way that I can access one of his saves? Is there something that I'm missing? We've tried logging in/out, clicking repair, game properties, etc......cloud save doesn't seem to be helping.

@radishgrlI think the only way around here is to transfer saves manually.
In Windows it is stored here. C:\Users\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\Saves
