newly built PC, Windows 10 and i can't save any game progress in Dead Space 2

Tried all the "run as administrator" fixes and nothing is helping. Are there any other fixes so that i can actually save my in game progess?

@corbinbradjohns Have you set the .exe to run in the compatibility mode for Windows Vista?
