Dead space franchise crashing on startup

256 GB NVME M.2 Drive

4TB Western Digital Red

Lenovo Monitor  27" 2560x1440 turned down to 1920x1080 @ 60Hz

I've tried running the games in every conceivable compatibility mode, tried re-installing all the drivers in safe mode, completely re-installed the games, run origin and the games as an administrator. I've tried command line arguments to start them in windowed modes at lower resolutions (as low as 800x600) but no success. DirectX and the VCredist have both been uninstalled and reinstalled as well.

I am out of ideas, I'm simply trying to play for nostalgia but I can't get the games to run.

I am aware of the maximum resolution limit of dead space 2, I tried starting at a resolution lower than its cap to begin with and it still wouldn't launch. The most success I've had was getting the first few frames of the start up sequence showing the visceral games logo before crashing.

Nvidia drivers are up to date, windows is up to date, origin and the game are up to date, and all non-essential peripherals have been removed during this process.

Any further tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @TheAzarek,

Have you tried limiting the FPS from the Nvidia Control Panel as well?
