Dead Space 2 (PC) will crash after i click Single Player.

Hello all.

Unfortunately i ran into a crash when after prssing the "single player" button of the front end menu, the game would crash on me.

I think this had started after i gotten a new GPU (1660 super) and installed drivers  This happened to both games installed in steam and Origin.

I had tried the following solutions linked below but both failed to resolve the issue.

I am also having the same issue I have tried troubleshooting the connection as requested by EA customer service https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc/ 

but still no dice.

Hey man for me, I deleted my saves and unchecked the cloud save on origin and now it works like a charm! Hope this helps you!

Hey, uncanny, and to everyone out there reading this: I  have found the source of the problem. It is a memory bug with your cloud saves.

To fix this all you need to do is go to:

Documents/EA Games/Dead space 2

come here and then DELETE ALL of your saves here.

 Next go to:

program files.x86/ steam/steamapps/common/Dead space 2 

MAKE SURE all of your DAT files 0-9 are intact and present otherwise your single-player WILL stay stuck loading forever. 

 That's all there is to it! 

Unfortunately, you will lose EVERYTHING in your saves but you will be able to play singleplayer once again.
