Can't play coop in Dead Space 3 with EA play on pc

Hi guys, my friend and I just bought the xbox pass with ea play for PC, and tried to play coop on dead space 3 but seems like there is no option to do so, like we can't invite each other and we can't see list of friends in game. 

Is it because we need to actually buy the game to play coop?

got the same probleme here , can't invite eacht other or find our games , anyone got the solution ?
