C&C TS Exception Handler crash

New error when launching C&C TS.  "Exception to exception handler" crash.  "Repaired" in Origin options- not fixed.  Uninstalled and reinstalled- not fixed.  All drivers up-to-date. WIn8 to Win10 upgrade not new.  Was working a few weeks ago but not now.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

@Player_nrnm1hpo The game requires a number of DirectX components to be installed that are no longer part of DirectX. Please try downloading this older driver from  2010 to see if it helps: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

I already tried that but it did not stop the error.  It works on my Dell laptop but not on my AMD desktop- same account.  I'm open to other suggestions.
