spore won't launch and says SPORE (TM) ended unexpectedly.

Hi All,

I just download Spore from Origin on my MacOS Sierra but can't launch it when I tried to. It says (SPORE (TM) ended unexpectedly.) everytime I launch the game. I have search everywhere and tried everything to fix the problem but it still dosen't work. Do anyone have any clues how to fix this problem? Would be very thankful.

You can try the following things

1. Open Finder, click on "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder.. ~/Library/Preferences/SPORE Preferences/
2. Make a double click on the file named "config"
3. Change now from "flobackbuffer" = "0" to "flobackbuffer" = "1"
4. Close the file and restart your game, afterwards it should work now

Disable Origin in the game, 

Open Origin
Click on Origin ➡️  Origin In Game ➡️ Remove the tick and enable Origin in Game

I know this is "old" but THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This is the only solution that worked for me! Also, in my files the "flobackbuffer..." is "fbobackbufer...".

The folder is not available until you have successfully installed the game. In addition, you should also have the admin right on this machine

Successfully installed? Can you clarify? Because I have downloaded it on origin if that’s what you mean.

hi.  i tried this solution (change floback buffer to "1"), restarted and it didn't start.  i installed the game from a disk on my imac running high sierra.  all the patches were installed.  anything else i can try?  thanks,
