spore doesn't work for me

spore still isn't working for me and i have been trying to get online for almost 5 hours now. i did the CD key thing, and i downloaded it do i have both origin and steam spore but every time i try to log in i get a message i haven't found anywhere else. it says "There was a error connecting to the spore servers. your computer might be offline or your internet connections may be having problems. check your connection or visit spore.com for additional assistance or server status.' but my wifi is fine please help i don't know what to do
