can not down load my spore game to new laptop [ Edited ]

I bought this game years ago and had it downlaoded on my laptop that no longer works. i want to download it on my new laptop and I have tried every help area on the websites with no answers.  if i bought the game i should be able to download it on computer i want. 

what is the problem?

mine downloaded on the computer but it wont run.  I have windows 8.  The game says windows xp but I know it can be adjusted somehow but I dont know how.
