Trouble with connectivity to Spore Servers [ Edited ]

EDIT: It seems that Spore.com has been down for a day or two, and that is the problem for now. 
(I do hope I won't have any problems after that though)

EDIT: WELP guess who still has problems even after the servers got back up. It's still the same thing as before, shown below.

I recently purchased Spore through Steam. First I had problems with registering an EA and Spore account, though that was fixed by donwloading Origin and making an Origin account.

Now, however, when I as much as bring up the "register" window, it immediately informs me of an connectivity error, saying that either my computer is offline or that I have no internet. I have both.

Why is it so dang hard to set up anything with this game? People have been having trouble with Spore registering for ages, and fixing everything is slow and painful.

Fix your game, EA, new people still buy and play it, and this is alienating them away from it.

(I'd also like to have live chat help with this, but I live in Finland so I can't get that from EA either)

Spore Servers undergoing a maintenance. Its coming to a temporary connecting problem.

Called the Finnish EA support, they managed to fix the issue. Turns out Origins hadn't picked out that I have Spore or a Spore account, so it hadn't set up a profile for me. Or something like that.

Basically, they had to do it for me. But everything works now!
