Spore crashing at startup after clearing cache

I just purchased Spore on Origin, downloaded it fine, but it will not start up. It crashes before it even opens the title screen of the game. I cleared the origin cache, repaired the game,  tried re downloading it numerous times (clearing the cache and repairing each time), nothing has helped. does anyone know how to fix this?
