Spore crashes on startup

I just recently installed Spore on my laptop via Origin only to find out that the entire game keeps crashing upon startup. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting / turning off / turning back on, running compatibility and the whole nine yards.

The odd thing is that this game will work perfectly fine when it comes to running within Steam. Any solutions?

Do you need to keep saved games and downloaded creations? If not, delete the Spore folder located at C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming - this will clear all saved data used by the game.

I notice that you have Spore installed to the E drive - have you tried installing to your C drive? The game directory should also be in a folder named "Origin Games" rather than Origin, although I'm not sure if you set that yourself.

If Spore's files are located inside the same folder as the actual Origin application, it may cause issues.

Also, if you have Spore (base game), GA, and C&C (if you own it) installed to different locations, that can cause issues too. Install all of them to the same location, if possible.

I have tried doing a regular default installation and I have tried changing installation paths. None of this works.
