Spore Won't Open On Mac High Sierra

I've downloaded and re-downloaded Spore and it won't open.

I had to launch the game in cider_noui mode.

1. With a text editor open the game config file from its installation directory:
   

   /Users/<yourname>/Applications/SPORE.app/Content/Info.plists

2. Change line #8 in the file that specifies how the game is launched to:
   

   <key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
   <string>cider_noui</string>

3. Save the file & launch SPORE from Origin or Spotlight.

Hey, I found preferences, but I can't seem to find Spore preferences.

Then go to the Spore icon with right-click.
Say Show package contents.
Navigate to folder Contents ➡️MacOS and launch Spore via one of the cider exce

trying to install from disc but installer hangs under High Sierra. What do I do please?

Hi @Artemis0410

The Mac doesn't have a CD drive unless you are using an external device.

It's not easy to install the game over. Better would be a digital download over Origin.

It may be possible that games like Spore are no longer running on new Mac machines.

Because Apple has ended the 32bit support. Spore is an older game which requires 32 bit systems.

Therefore it is important how you want to install it via CD or DL Origin
