very helpful. I won't get it to run on my 2016 macbook either. will now try my 2014 mac pro. if it fails i will try to get a refund.

Usually Spore runs better on the older mac as on the new ones.

I play it on a MBP 2016 with High Sierra. Have you tried the tips already inside here from the FAQ for Mac!
