SPORE BAD_DATA

Just bought SPORE and the random name generator always names thing BAD_DATA. How can I fix this?

On Mac

Navigate under-> Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/SPORE Preferences/

Right click “Config” and Open with TextEdit -> Scroll down and keep an eye under following line

Type now the following countries code in the same line. Save it

These Languages support Spore
cz-cz: Czech
da-dk: Danish
de-de: German
el-gr: Greek
en-gb: British
en-us: American English
es-es: Spanish
fi-fi: Finnish
fr-fr: French
hu-hu: Hungarian
it-it: Italian
nl-nl: Dutch
no-no: Norwegian
pl-pl: Polish
pt-br: Brazilian
pt-pt: Portuguese
ru-ru: Russian
sv-se: Swedish

Hi, I found that link and tried to do it, but I couldn't find SPORE in my applications folder (or anywhere else), so couldn't continue

Have you installed the game via Origin?

On my machine, the file to copy is located here:

Origin Games\Spore\Data\Locale\en-us\NameGeneration.package

...and this is to be copied to the following location if it is missing from there:

Origin Games\Spore\Data\Locale\en-gb

Yeah, I installed it from origin, and open up origin to play it.

I am using a mac. Sorry, I couldn't find the:

Origin Games\Spore\Data\Locale\en-us\NameGeneration.package

I looked via magnifying glass, library --> application support --> origin, and by opening origin package contents.

No, definitely mac.

I just looked on my origin account, it says I have it for both platforms
