Hi!
So, I just felt like playing some Spore again since I haven't touched the game in a like a year.
Went to Origin to launch Spore GA, black screen, loading icon and then suddenly goes away and opens Origin. No clue why.
Tried updating Spore, Spore C&C and Spore GA. Tried Repairing them. Nothing, still crashes.
I have them installed in the default folders: Origin at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin ; Spore at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games .
Tried emptying the saves folder at C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Spore .
All that and it keeps crashing. There are some "Exception Report" files in the Spore GA installation folder, don't know if you want that.
Thanks!

Hi @HReachKid
I'm sorry to hear that .
After the whole uninstall, you used the CCleaner?
https://www.piriform.com/products
He cleans the PC of old data
Make sure Origin is disabled in game. See settings at Origin
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-use-origin-in-game/
Or click on Spore cover and disable Origin in game
Important, let the game run in a smaller screen resolution

Hi!
I didn't actually uninstall the game, kinda didn't want to if it was possible. But will do it if necessary to get it working again.
Origin In-Game was on, turn it off, didn't work. Also tried in my laptop screen (1368×768 or something like that) and in my other screen (1920x1080), both didn't work. This time the crash happens even faster.
Is there any crash file I can upload that would help? Really wanted this fixed.
Thanks!

You could showed the DxDiag error report.
Did you delete the cache file in Spore!
For this purpose, hidden folders must be displayed
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Navigate Start” button > “File Explore > Folder Options-> View
Take an look under "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
Ingame
Then expand the cache in Spore under Settings, Graphic

Instead of just deleting the saves in C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Spore, try deleting the entire SPORE folder, this will regenerate a clean folder.
Also, try running Spore in administrator mode and check that you have the correct permissions. Right click the Spore.exe app, then go into security, and then grant full control to the system and the user which you're running Spore on. Then click apply and exit. Right click Spore.exe again and "Run as administrator."

Just came back from holidays and decided to just uninstall and reinstall everything (Before doing that tried to launch just the Spore app with admin rights and an actual error popped up; tried to fix it with some registry edits but to no avail. Gave up). Seems to have worked.
Thanks everyone for all the help!
