New iMac with Catalina will not install Spore through Origin

Sims 4 downloaded without issue, Spore says download, lets me choose my language, "installs" then "finalizes", says complete. I click on the game that shows installed in my library, but instead of being able to hit the play button it again says "install". Tried restarting the computer & application; pretty much everything except for uninstalling origin and installing again. Is this operating system too new for this game? If i bought a physical copy of the game would I be able to play it without going through Origin?

I am sorry to say. The game is not optimized for Catalina. Catalina only supports 64 bit app, but not 32 bit, which is Spore. Spore only runs on older macos systems
