Heads up, I am German!
So, after trying many solutions that have been suggested and even deleting the login.prop so the 'Network play unavailable' pop-up no longer appears, I am about to give up. With connecting the keys from steam to EA, both on ORIGINS and STEAM I get the message "There was an Error connecting to the Spore severs. Check your..." and so on. Yes I have good internet, yes the firewall lets Spore through.
So are the european servers actually down? Because... everyone I encounter on forums says different things, and all I simply want is clarification. Playing Spore without online functions causes it to lose some of the amazing magic of player content.
Getting frustrated, especially if online play is still supposed to function.
