A sad day. I have played Tapped Out on iPad since the game started, but now the game requires two-factor authentification. I.e., it is not enough to type in email and password. And as my email address is no longer an active mail, I cannot recieve a code so as to log in. I tried customer support, but they could not help (I could not remember my money amount..). Password used to log into game was of no use.
So, my town is gone overnight - I think it would have been nice with a heads up on the login change. But I guess not - so my game money will have to be spent elsewhere. Unless someone has a suggestion??

Don't have access to email on file for EA, and need to change to my current email. Chatted with help person, provided most correct info I could, but wasn't allowed to change email

if you have had the foresight to add an alternative email or, better, a telephone number, you can change the main address yourself, otherwise you just have to stress the assistance and convince them of your good faith!
BUT .. There is another way you can follow and that is to restore your old mailbox or, if it is from, so much so that it no longer exists, recreate it!

I need help with TSTO. I don’t have access to the email associated with it and therefore cannot get the verification code. Because of this I have no access to my mayhem ID which you have to have to contact EA via chat or email. I’ve been playing this game for 6+years or so and have spent a lot of money buying donuts. My level is like 200+ so I refuse to just start over. I NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE.

I had a problem last year which meant I couldn’t access an old email address to reset my password. This was obviously prior to this current code chaos. The server decided it wouldn’t recognise my password and EA refused to help for security reasons. I managed to get it done in the end by being persistent. Luckily, I knew what level I was, how many donuts I had, what money levels were and what I had previously purchased. I also had a spare game account that I supplied details of to verify my identity. I used the Twitter DM route but it wasn’t easy.

With the new update, it changed the sign in from username/email and password, to getting a verification email with a code. After 7-8 years, I no longer have access to that email account. This was not a problem as all I needed was the email and password, but now I can't log in without the email. I can't add a new email to my EA account as I need to verify through the old email, which I can no longer access. Is there a way to still sign into my town? Or is my 8 years, 230+ levels, and money just gone now due to an update??

@406stev3n420if an alternative email or / and a phone number is also registered in your account, you can change the primary email yourself, deciding to receive the security code in one of the two alternative options. Thank you. I have been unable to add an alternate email or phone number as doing so also requires email verification. I will go through EA support as you mentioned. Thank you for the link!

I have had game since 2013 and no longer have email used to login so I am unable to get verification code .. need to change wmail
