Dead email address

1.  Ea help is useless . The account has no card linked to it the email account is dead and they will only send codes to that email .
    I can log onto my origin account but any changes must be authenticated by a code sent to an email I can’t access

@steveffff unfortunately it is a problem that has hit many users hard! The solution is in EA's hands, but until now, call centers have refused to help users in any way. I have no idea what's going to happen, but I don't have a good feeling!

It’s absolutely ridiculous. EA help is the worst I have ever encountered. . There is no money/ no card / no bank details on account and still no help despite no risk .

All they need to do is remove the stupid code system and go back to as was . I can log onto origin but every change a code is sent to a dead email .

@steveffff Can't recover old email? If you have recently closed it you can recover it. If it has been closed for a long time it may be available again and you can register it again!
It could be a solution!

@steveffff I had this same issue until I was thankfully able to get onto one EA advisor who asked how many donuts I had, how much cash and when was the last time I played and with that was able to update my email address. Unfortunately I’m still not getting any codes and no one is willing to do anything about it..

After five phone calls yesterday I finally got my email address changed which I hadn’t had for 8 years. I couldn’t get the code as it was getting send to the old address. Problem is I can’t get codes from the ea website to add my phone number to my profile. The code to login to Tapped out doesn’t come either. I thought it might have just been the game that wasn’t sending the code or that my email address hadn’t updated but I received emails from the consultant on the phone with a code to verify my identity.

If you can use any of this to verify your account you should then be able to edit your email

a couple of excerpts that may be of interest

Go to your EA Account Security settings.

Under Login Verification, click Turn On.

We’ll send you a code via the method you choose right away. Use that code to activate Login Verification, and you’ll be all set.

When you use the app authenticator, you’ll get a code from the Google Authenticator app whenever you need it.

Pick App Authenticator when you’re setting up Login Verification, then click Continue.
