Crash when opening Creature Customizer

So i haven't played this game in a while (like 2 or 3 years at least.) I decided to play it through again however I've run into a problem - my game always crashes whenever i go into the customization mode. It doesn't matter what stage I am in (though I can only test it in Cell and Creature stage because that's all I have access to). I have read that some OS don't like to run Spore, but I've also read that is false. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling steam. Any help would be appreciated.

I would try it under compatible mode

I don't have a "compatibility tab" when I select properties

If you the compatibility tab missing, check if the program is running into administrator mode
