sound effects not working

How come when i go in a match i can here sounds but not the sound effects. For example when i charge up something lets say for the future cactus, it doesn't make the noise that it would do when it is charging up. To fix i just go to options and then get out but it is getting annoying to do everygame that starts.

@xxWildblazexx Hi, can I check what system you're on?

If you're on PC can you try wiping your local settings file then try again. 

Go to My Documents>Plants vs Zombies GW2\settings and delete the files there. When you start the game back up it should create new files from a default template and hopefully this will fix the issue for you.
