pvz gw2 stopped working

Yesterday i bought pvz gw2 and after it finished downloading i tried to launch the game. However every time the game launches there is a message popping up that reads "Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has stopped working" I have checked the system requirements  and I am pretty certain that my pc is able to run the game. The last thing i want to add is that the message that pops up, appears before  the loading screen comes up. Any feedback would be appreciated!
