Multiplayer Error [ Edited ]

My 12 year old son can NO LONGER play Plants vs. Zombies Gw2 online. He gets the message You or a member of your group does not have the correct permission to access online features. He has been playing this game online on the Xbox One for over a year. But now he can't. He has an EA/ Origin account that I used to sing in to this for help. Pleas help. Thank you

Where is the portal/hub split screen?

Hey guys, I just figured out the problem,

apparently, you need xbox live gold to get any online features in any game

Actually, my boys figured it out without me having to delete their XBOX child accounts.  They activated the split screen and it worked.

I have Xbox gold live and I am not restricted from online play. So what else could be the problem?

 @DILLINGER_GIRL What is the exact error message you are seeing?

It said that I didn't have permission for online activities. But I fixed it already. I reset my router and unplugged my xbox and did a hard reboot. One of those things, not sure which, fixed it. Thank you for replying!
