sims won't complete queued actions

★★ Guide

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? Version 1.96.397.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By clicking various actions such as cooking, infant care, wash hands, etc.
What happens when the bug occurs? In some cases, the reason is not obvious but they get a thought bubble saying something is in the way. Sometimes I can find that object blocking them and fix it. Other times, the item will just disappear from the queue altogether. I will ask again and watch closely to be sure they aren't showing something in the way and sometimes they will go ahead and complete the action on the second time and other times it will take multiple tries. It makes sense if there is something blocking their way but this is only the case about 10% of the time. With infant care, it appears like if the infant needs changed or fed for example that if you click the infant to complete the care, but every possible sim in that family will all try to go change the diaper or feed the infant at the same resulting in no one being able to. I have tried to ask ONE sim to go complete the action but they never complete it. The infant gets picked up then put down over and over but no one actually feeds/changes/etc. At times during this chaos, the infant gets stuck on their feet.
What do you expect to see? I expect that if there is an action queued and no obvious reason for blocking, they should go to the item/sim and complete the action.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This issue has been since growing together pack and was noticed most often with newborn and infant care. At that time, the instances of not completing queued actions went from happening 10% of the time or so to happening more than 60% of the time. Makes the game VERY difficult to play. ‌
