@darionacraft Do the sims that start the fires have the “fear of fire”? Certain things make fires happen more often, that being one, if the sims are in a bad mood is another.

Yes, I didn’t know that it could still cause them to create fires often. How can I change that ? @coleslaw_1915

@darionacraft there is no way to remove a fear trait unless you use a mod or cheats. I personally do not know what the cheat code is, sorry. But a sim can still overcome the fear. The only way I know of is to “discuss fears” with other sims.

@darionacraft @coleslaw_1915 Discussing fears is not for fear of fire - each fear has its own way of overcoming it, which you will see if you hover over the fear thought.
In this case, the way to overcome fear of fire is by putting out another fire - that’s why the chance of fires is increased when a sim in the household has it, to give them more chances to overcome it.
The problem is that just witnessing a fire is what can trigger the fear, which can lead to an unfortunate loop if you have a multi-sim household. Sim 1 gets fear of fire, causing increased fires. This triggers a new fire, which Sim 1 successfully puts out, overcoming their fear, but Sim 2 witnesses it and develops a fear of fire…
This is one reason I play with wants and fears off.
