my sim puts down dirty dishes after picking it up

So i made my sims to clean them up, but after they pick them up, sims  just put those back to where they were. what can i do?

Do you have a trashcan ?

This happens to my sims sometimes, too, and I do have both an inside and outside trashcan. If it helps: It stopped happening once I made the room bigger and they had more space to move around the table. Not sure if that is related, or simply coincidence.

Hello,

I had a few run-in's wth this bug as well. Not only that, most of the time my sims will favor using the upstairs bathroom, instead of the sink literally right in front of them. Not sure if that's a bug or what though.

Anyway here's a video of it happening;

(He placed the dishes on the display table as a result of me constantly pestering him to clean up, and moving the dishes to different spots in the area.)
