[TROUBLESHOOT] moodlit sleeping bug

[ Edited ]
★★★★★ Novice

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.50.67.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but Backyard Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff and Vintage Glamour Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? have a sim sleep with a powerful moodlit, especially Playful
What happens when the bug occurs? the sim goes to bed, but instead of the Asleep moodlit overpowering the other ones, the other active moodlits will show instead
What do you expect to see? sims sleeping with the Asleep moodlit overpowering all moodlits
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I have noticed that its just the Playful and Very Playful moodlits that overpower the Asleep moodlit, it resets after I wake up the sim and send them to bed again. I have some pictures attached

It might just be my laptop because I have noticed some object graphical errors with the Karaoke Booths and the Scout Board, I also saw a pair of pants in CAS having that error as well. They were the ones from Get Famous, with the makeup pack attached to it.

I have, I am going to just try reinstalling The Sims 4 to see if it fixes things.

HI @lissrupp

you don't need to reinstall.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Good Luck

I have not been playing The Sims 4 recently because I'm sick and wanted to relive my Sims 3 childhood, so I'll have to see if anything is fixed.

★ Guide

I get this bug sometimes with all the different laundry moodlets. My sims will be asleep, but the laundry moodlet is over powering the sleeping moodlet.

At least it's not a huge bug, hopefully it gets fixed soon
