can not earn cantina money?, the battles are replaced with special events?

Good that you fixed your problem. Same thing happened to me. For future reference, you can still access the cantina battles via the Find Shards in the Characters screen.

Yes, if you are connected to Google Play account (Check at gear button (top left)).

There are three possible solitions there. two before reinstalling game.

I don't have any problem with cantina battle or lightside battle. If it happens frequently, Perhaps you should try uninstall and redownload the game. Make sure you save your progress in the google play account first.

In the US and have had this issue for like two days, I was confused by the name of the cantina battles too since it changed to "placeholder" and they are titled special tier events

The forums have actually moved to a different site now so there aren't that many people checking in on these threads.
