[XB1] Cannot overwrite older saves.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Base Game
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a new game, save in empty slot. Make some changes to your household and then try to overwrite the previous save.
What happens when the bug occurs? Changes made between initial save and overwritten save are lost.
What do you expect to see? Changes are retained when loading up the overwritten save.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Changes can be saved by saving game to a new slot each time, but as there is a limited number of available slots, progress will then be lost when you attempt to save. This is on Xbox One v1.03

Hi @promaori

We are having trouble trying to reproduce your issue.

Do you mind answering a few questions?

Is this issue still occurring for you?

Are you loading the saves directly with "Load Game", or using the "Play" button on the Main Menu?

If using the "Play" button, Can you please "Load Game", and then compare the time stamps on the autosave and the save you are trying to load?

Thank you very much!

Hi @SimGuruIcarus,

More than happy to help with any troubleshooting on this issue. We did have some success and were able to save (after leaving the game running for almost a week straight). However we did experience further saving issues following this. My wife has multiple saves and was using the "load game" to launch the specific save game rather than using the "Play" button.
