@BXK1318 Im sorry, could you clarify what happened 3 weeks ago?

3 weeks ago your Eco workshop start button disappeared or 3 weeks ago you made a sim passive?

@BXK1318 I did make a sim passive and then retired them and removed from house. Just a couple days ago

@BXK1318 If the start button disappeared 3 weeks ago, then something happened then. 🙁 Making sim passive who was in a workshop event can cause the start button to disappear. Maybe check through the sims you have, if there’s some passive sims stuck being ‘busy’.

Can’t Upgrade Eco Workshop

★ Novice

I can’t upgrade the Eco Workshop even though I have enough tokens. The button is a little grayed out and when I click it it says “Workshop Shift in Progress” however there is not a shift in progress. This bug occurred after I downloaded the recent update. I retired all my Sims before I noticed the bug. Maybe one of the retired Sims was in a shift when I downloaded the update? Any advice?

Ok.
I had the exact same problem before the update. The reason why you can’t update your eco workshop is probably that a retired Sim is stuck in an event there.

Resently Sims have started event by themselves. Even if you have started them in another event. In other words, they may have sort of done two events at the same time. The «good thing» about this, is that you earn more simoleons. The bad effect is that a Sim may actually be in an event when you retire her/him or make her/him passive. If you for example notice that short events are not available to your Sim (you only see standard or long events), you should force close your game right away. When you reopen the game, your Sim will perhaps tell you she/he just finished an event you didn’t ask her/him to do.

Now back to the stuck Sim: I advice you to find out which Sim is stuck, and then ask this Sim to move out. This should unlock the Eco workshop.

Hope this works out for you. Cross fingers!
