Whims and Tasks Not Completing

Seasons, Island Living, Get Famous, Cats & Dogs, Get Together, City Living, Get to Work, Strangerville, Vampires, Parenthood, Dine Out, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat, Toddler Stuff, Bowling Night Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Spooky Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff, Holiday Celebration, Grim's Ghoulish Guitar
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attempt to complete a whim or attempt to complete a work task (for freelancer career)
What happens when the bug occurs? Whims cannot be completed. For example, if a sim wishes to get married (+100) and they get married, the whim does not go away, nor does it award points. For the freelancer careers, tasks cannot be completed. For example, in the writer freelancer career, when a task, such as Chat with Client, is completed, the task is not checked off. When all tasks are completed, no money is awarded and the "gig" does not go away.
What do you expect to see? I would expect that whims would disappear once completed and points would be awarded. I would expect that once work tasks are completed, they would be checked off and sims would be paid for their work.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I've had this bug for a few days. I'm not sure if it is the result of the last patch installed.
