Wants/Fears: Excessive Want to listen to liked music station [ Edited ]

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.264.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All the packs except for Journey to Batuu.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create Sims and make them like some of the music stations available.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims constantly roll wants to listen to one (or a few) of their favorite music stations.
What do you expect to see? I expect Sims to roll more wants related to their traits, aspirations, lifestyles, relationships etc.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I can confidently say that the issue with Sims constantly wanting to listen to their favorite radio stations wasn't fixed. It wasn't reduced or partially improved either. Even after I send Sims to bed to have them re-roll the Wants, they still oftentimes get Wants related to their music preferences. I checked multiple saves including new ones. The only way to avoid this problem is to have Sims not like any music stations, but let's be honest, this isn't a fix.

@yegorsmh I have the same issue on MacOS (The Sims 4, French). So annoying!

I still think this is less a bug and more by (poorly planned) design.

1. They decided they didn’t need to make wants and fears backward compatible with packs released prior to the creation of the system. 

2. They then based the wants off Sim traits and likes. But only traits/likes from base game and High School Years, because they weren’t going to update any already released packs. (Also hopefully they added some since with newer packs? I wouldn’t know as I’ve turned it off.)

3. If you have all the packs, look at your Sims’ traits and liked activities. How many are actually base game? If they’re from any pack released before High School Years, they may as well not exist as far as the wants & fears are concerned. This can drastically reduce the pool of possible wants for your Sim to pull.

4. By playing with the packs I paid money to enjoy, I break the wants & fears system by giving it “blank” personalities - all they ever want is to listen to music or start a romantic relationship (or break up, if already in a relationship).

The “fix” for this is to make sure your sim has at least one or two base game traits.
