If I attack an enemy ship with buzz droids only one Vulture droid assists. It's definitely only one, because not even the "real" one assists, when another one already assisted, although he has a 100% chance to do so. (This is also the case without daze of course)
If this is working as intended, please clarify this behaviour in the ability description. There's nothing, that states assists are limited to one Vulture droid.
