Connection error and stuck on "checking for updates"

oops that should say if i *don't* see check for updates, not if i do see it.

if i don't see it, it goes to loading cantina and works perfectly.

if i do, it hangs, and says connection error and won't progress past check for updates.

I am having the same issue, just started doing it today, I cannot get game to load period! Very frustrating. It says connection error but there are no problems with my cell service or wifi- edit I was able to resolve on my own

I have included the screen shot attachment. This is still going for me EA. I am I-Phone user, everything else on my phone works fine. The is nothing wrong with my connection as all my other apps and items load and work fine. I am a paying customer on GOHSW level 78, playing since game launched and now this?? The game will not even open. edit-I was able to resolve this on my own.

Just started having the problem with the game freezing on the screen with the message “Loading Cantina”. On Hauwei p9lite, but last hour the game work. (and my brother with same phone still play)
