Game won't load. Freezing at "loading Catina"

I logged into google Play, and launched the game from there... and it loaded...

Logged out and tried to start the game normally and it failed...

Then tried to log in via google play.   And it failed...   Took 3 attempts for it to load right from google play.

This is happening to me too. Can't log in at all even though there is a strong wifi connection. Phone is a Motorola G3 phone, in Montreal.
