[OPEN] Objects no longer able to be placed on angled walls [ Edited ]

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place Drapes of Riguer, from the Vampire collection, onto a single angled wall piece.
What happens when the bug occurs? The message "must place on a wall" appears.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see correct placement, such as prior to the Eco Living pre-release update.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Eco Living base game update.

I have attached two images. The first shows correct placement of curtains on angled walls as part of a manually build bay window. This was prior to the Eco Living base game update. The second image show a reconstruction, where the curtains are not unable to be placed on the angled wall. This occurs whether or not the adjacent curtain is removed.

I can repro too but curtains do place if a window is present. I tested on 1 tile diagonal wall and 2 tile diagonal wall, MOO off.

It is possible to place over 2 tiles though:

I don't know if it matters, but my diagonal walls are only one tile, not two. And it has a window on it. I used to be able to do this prior to the patch.

Can you try one and two tile diagonals? There isn't a window in your screenshot.

That's great, thanks for the extra pics. There have also been reports of wall deco acting the same way so it may be a bug since the new window placement was introduced in the patch.

That sounds reasonable and explains why some wall decorations are disappearing after loading older houses. As long you guys are aware of the issue and looking into it, I’m good. Let me know if you need more input.

I don’t work for EA After testing more and seeing other posts about the deco objects I believe this has simply been exacerbated by the window alt placement feature introduced in the June patch. Maybe it is as intended? For now you’ll need to use MOO to get the desired effect.
