Hi all,

I am having this issue too. I have 2 Sims with non-committal traits. I removed this trait from them and they still seem tense from having relationship.

Re: Changed Trait, Wrong Emotion.

I'm having this with the Romantic trait. My poor Sim keeps being tense because she's lovelorn, but she's not actually a Romantic-trait Sim anymore.

No, I don't work for EA. Just here as a volunteer for non-DM support.
Have you backed up your Saves? Checked for broken and updated mods and CC?

Hey, i had this problem, too.

But a day later it was gone, I'm not quite sure, because i tried a lot of stuff, but i would guess it was the cheat : sims.remove_all_buffs

Hope that helps... and sorry for the bad english Standard smile

Sims 4 traits glitch

★★ Novice

I changed the traits of a sim from non-committal to geek . He still has moodlets pop up with the non-committal trait. Is there anyway this can be fixed? I've tried taking him back to CAS as well as resetting him. But nothing is working.

[OPEN] Used cheats to change traits does not fix

[ Edited ]
★ Novice

Summary:

Used cheat: Modify in CAS or cas.fulleditmode to change traits. However, previous traits still show.

Steps I took:

1. Opened console and Enabled cheats with: testingcheats true.

2. Used cheat: cas.fulleditmode

3. Used cheat: Modify in CAS

4. Switched Noncommittal trait for Ambitious trait.

5. Saved Household

6. Disabled cheats with: testingcheats false.

7. Proceeded to play, but noncommittal trait showed up again on the Sim it was removed from.

I tried restarting Sims 4

I tried deleting the cache and cache image files

I tried reloading my Sims 4 game multiple times

Checked forums for other solutions that have been tested and apparently do not work as well.

Such as using cheat: traits.remove_trait nameoftraittoberemoved

This was tested via:

Pavel69Novotny

in the forum: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/782799/stuck-with-romantic-trait-please-help

Solutions:

None.

Temporary Solutions:

Although neither of these solutions fix the bug they do something.

Worst = Attempt to recreate the character from scratch.

Best = Get the CAREFREE trait found in the rewards store after getting 3000 aspiration points, the trait gets rid of all "Tense moodlets" permanently.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Edit: I believe this is in the wrong forum, should be posted in bugs, my mistake will move it now.

Thank You, hope to play again as soon as it gets fixed, its really painful and potentially game-breaking, because the hidden trait is actually showing up twice as much and I'd rather not reset my progress.

Edit:

I found one solution getting 3000 points and using it in the rewards store to buy the CAREFREE trait.

A list a traits in a guide can be found here: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/rewards/

Although it does not fix the overall solution it is a temporary fix that allows you to continue to play without being frustrating.
