‌At time of writing, my guild is showing 4868 banners for posted defense squads, which doesn't seem right given 30 banners per defense. On the leaderboard, I personally am showing 214 banners earned for 6 defense squads.
The log (the message that posts on each territory after a team is set) still says 30 banners were earned, so not warning 30 banners does appear to be a bug.
