TS4 black photos

When I take photographs or create paintings, they sometimes after a while turn all black. Also, when I go to change the filter of a photo I've already taken, it also turns black. Any ideas of how to fix this?

is there a fix for this yet? because i've looked all over the internet and have not found one. it's really frusturating to me because i'm really getting into the whole photo thing and photos of my sims' families make their houses seem more like homes.
