[NEEDS INPUT] Adult Sim and Teen won't read books or homework on kitchen island [ Edited ]

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.50.67.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I do not own the Vampires game pack and My First Pet Stuff. Everything else I do.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place the homework or book on the island then send a Sim or teen there to sit down and do the action.
What happens when the bug occurs? My Sims will go to the island counter, sit down then pick up their homework or book and go to the couch or over available seating instead.
What do you expect to see? Them do the action at the available spot
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Not sure if this was by design or an actual issue/bug, but when I send my Sims to either do homework or read a book at the kitchen island (with a bar stool) they'll go there, pick it up then go to a couch, bed or available chair that wasn't the place where I sent them.

Now if this is normal, and they are not supposed to be able to read there, then great, it was by design. However if they are supposed to be able to read or do homework there, then it is not working as intended.

@crinrictBadArkane I've noticed sims are suddenly only doing their homework on CHAIRS like lounge chairs and BEDS which is weird. I used to buy them desks and stuff to do their homework. Now they go into their parents room and sit on the bed.
