During the start of the battle, when the enemies take their turn, despite Hermit Yoda not having stealth he always dodges or deflects attacks.

Additionally, all the enemy AI targets him exclusively.

As well as this, if one of the enemies is stealthed before Hermit Yoda's turn, Hermit Yoda does not gain Stealth but still dodges regardless.

During this period, even if Hermit Yoda uses Master's Training, he does not gain stealth.

This eventually resolves itself around the enemy's third or fourth turn where Hermit Yoda can be damaged and gain negative status effects.

Yeah, this happenings everytime. All characters on the Mythic tier have an "invisible taunt" that disappears on taking damage. It's designed to spread the high damage of the opposing team between your characters so you don't lose one out of the gate.

This invisible taunt prevents Hermit Yoda gaining stealth, but he keeps the evasion buff as if he was stealthed.

I think it's a result of the stealth (which isn't happening visually) expiring that allows the enemy to finally hit him, and break the taunt, putting everything back to normal.
