Strange Shadows in walls and floors (with and without platforms)

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.68.156.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Sims 4 Base Game
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a room with no windows and put a platform in part of it. Inset a ceiling light
What happens when the bug occurs? Lights and shadows not showing normally (though this happened also with no platforms and a room illuminated by windows + ceiling lights). I have tried with all base game content and still happens. Did not happen before the latest patch/update.
What do you expect to see? Light/ shadows showing normally.

Please describe the patch or change you made. Latest patch/update from the 10th of November / Snowy escape package
happens with and without CC content.
All the houses this happens have platforms in them to some degree. The strange shadows happen in both walls and floors. Also the lights from fixtures and from windows appear overly bright sometimes.
