I think it might be the same bug. Basically: the match sometimes starts without the necessary number of players. It ends immediately when someone gets the first kill, which is often 20-30 seconds into the match.

Update - Just happened to me again approx. 13:25 hrs UK time . Played two successful games of SFA at Kamino.
Ryloth cut short in next two rounds as per previous incidents. In the lobby for next round and SFA dropped me back to main menu, without any apparent reason.

I'm sure we are stuck with this bug. I won't go away until EA understand the problem, analyse it, develop a solution and release a patch update.
Two problems as I see it
1) Can EA find the cause and create a solution
2) Is it worth EA's time and effort to find a solution since their focus is less on SFA and more on other areas of the game

Over the last week, I have observed that when the round starts early without enough players, the ticket counter at the top of the screen does not show up. If any player kills another starfighter during this time, the entire round will end. However, if ALL players wait to shoot until the ticket counter is up (which happens when enough players join and the countdown to start is complete) then the round can continue as usual. So the mode is playable if you happen to have the right number of players on each side at the start, or ALL players wait to engage until the ticket counter is up. Very frusterating!
