Since season 5, I have noticed all the time, when I try to ping the map, to show a location to move to, or enemies, even in the drop ship, to pick an area, I have to click sometimes 3-4 times before I'm able to ping.
I have been playing since Season 1, and I've only started experiencing this issue in Season 5.
