Sniper rifles fail to zoom

Summarize your bug When you are using a 6x or 8x sniper scope, you get the reticle, but the scope does not zoom in. You end up getting a 1x scope.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You have to swap to a 4x or less scope and try again. this fixes it about 20% of the time.
What happens when the bug occurs? you get the scope reticle, but the scope does not zoom in. You end up getting a 1x scope.
What should be happening instead? You should zoom in either 6x or 8x.

This is by far the most frustrating bug for me. I can tolerate and wait for other bugs to be fixed, but this sniper zoom fail bug has literally put me off playing, due to how frequent and obstructive it is. As you say, 50% - 99% of the time when you scope in it occurs. I really hope they fix this by the next update. 

I play on Xbox Series X.
